Tele Tracks Booking Terms and Conditions

All bookings with Tele Tracks are subject to the following conditions. By completing a booking form, either on or off line, you are accepting the Terms and conditions set out below. This contract will be governed by, and construed and interpreted in accordance with, the law of England and Wales.


Clients attending Tele Tracks courses must pay the appropriate fee in full and before joining any course or coaching session. Tele Tracks will reserve your place for a maximum of fourteen days from the date of issue of an invoice. A 20% deposit is payable on receipt of invoice. Please return your remittance within this period to confirm your booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Full payment is due immediately should the invoice date fall within 8 weeks of the commencement of the course.

Invoices will be issued by email unless specifically requested otherwise.

No contract will exist until Tele Tracks issues a receipt, accepting your payment in full. Prices will be charged in GBP Sterling. The contract of instruction is between the client and the instructor whilst the contract of management of the booking is between the client and Tele Tracks.

We accept payment by Paypal, personal cheque, accompanied by the card guarantee number or by Bank transfer. All details and instructions are on your invoice. Your booking will not be confirmed until cleared funds are received. A 4% surcharge will be added to payments made through Paypal.

All Invoices and any other course resources will be sent to the address supplied on your booking form. It is your responsibility to keep Tele Tracks informed of any change of address in writing or by email.


In the event of a cancelled booking the following charges will apply:

  • More than 8 weeks notice - 10% of course fee.
  • 2 to 8 weeks notice - 50% of course fee.
  • 2 days to 2 weeks notice - 90% of course fee.
  • 1 day or on the day- 100% of course fee.

Should Tele Tracks be able to resell a booking then the monies will be returned less a 10% administration charge. If Telemark Tracks cannot resell the space then no refund will be made and the full payment will be retained.

Tele Tracks will give no refund, in whole or in part, for unused sessions due to client late arrival, illness, accident, or for any other cause outside the control of Tele Tracks.

Telemark Tracks reserves the right to cancel its sessions for a variety of reasons. Full refunds of unused sessions, will be made on a pro rata basis in this instance. Course places are not transferable.


Tele Tracks does not insure its clients. It is a condition of joining any Tele Tracks course that clients are adequately insured. Clients must arrange an appropriate policy, which includes personal, medical and rescue insurance, with a licensed agent and allows for both on and off piste skiing and telemarking with a qualified instructor. You, the client, and anyone else in any session are obliged to insure yourself for third party liability. Tele Tracks highly recommend that you have insurance in place when you book your course.

Minimum Numbers, Course Duration and Times

Tele Tracks require a minimum of three clients to allow courses to run for the specified duration. Tele Tracks will ensure that you are kept fully informed as to the number of clients booked on a course in the period running up to that course and will advise you of any possible change to the duration of the course at least 1 week before the commencement of the course.

In the event that there are only two people booked on a course the course will run for two thirds of the specified course duration and be rounded up to the nearest whole session. If there is only one person on a course the course will run, as a private session, for one third of the specified course duration and be rounded up to the nearest whole session. A session is defined as a 3-hour period, which may be either in the morning (9am- 12am) or afternoon (1pm – 4pm). Tele Tracks reserve the right to change session start times, due to unforseen circumstances, influences beyond its control, or to achieve homogenous groups.

Client Safety

Tele Tracks are obliged to take into account the prevailing conditions and the telemarking standards of all our clients. Tele Tracks will therefore establish the exact program of session times, venues etc. at the beginning of each week. These arrangements are always subject to alteration in the light of prevailing circumstances and conditions. For reasons of safety, it is a condition of booking that you will respect the professional judgment of your instructor while you are in a session. Clients should present themselves in a fit and safe condition for physical activity in the mountain environment. Tele Tracks will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that courses run as advertised.

Lift or Piste Closure

Tele Tracks cannot be held responsible for lift or piste closure (for example due to bad weather or mechanical failure). Tele Tracks will be happy to give you a letter explaining the circumstances for your insurance company.


All coaches are fully British and internationally qualified and hold the French ‘equivalence’. All coaches have private professional liability insurance. Tele Tracks accepts no liability for the clients whilst under the professional instruction of the coach. Clients must ensure they have their own insurance as in the unlikely event of an accident or illness no refund can be given. All forms of skiing involve an element of risk, which you must accept as inherent to the sport. You must take responsibility for your own actions and decisions whenever you are in the mountain environment and whether you are skiing with a Tele Tracks instructor or not.


Tele Tracks, and their agents, will take every reasonable precaution to keep clients safe when skiing off the piste. Clients should, however, be aware that the risk of an accident is increased with exposure to the uncontrolled variables of a less predictable environment.

Client Satisfaction

If, at any time during your course, you have cause for complaint, you must let Tele Tracks and your instructor know immediately and we will endeavor to address the situation to your satisfaction.
